Yvonne Oma McMinn Gladewater -- Services for Yvonne Oma McMinn, 81, of Gladewater, will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012, at 10 A.M. at Abundant Life Temple with Pastor Mike McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. Born on August 14, 1930, in Goose Creek, Texas, she died on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. She was a homemaker and a member of Abundant Life Temple. She is survived by 2 sons, Gregory Don McMinn and Jeffrey Lynn McMinn, both of Gladewater; daughter, Cynthia Gale McMinn of Irving; 4 brothers, Jerry Briggs of Midland; Roy Briggs of Dallas; Harold Briggs of Natchez, Mississippi; and Jimmy Baugus of Tomball; 3 sisters, Doris Williams of Lufkin; Betty Starks of Bay City; and Ruth Rogers of Shreveport, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene J. and Florence Briggs; husband, Thomas J. McMinn; and 5 brothers, Leon, Paul, Harry, Troy, and Billy Briggs. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
