Winnie Killian McAllister

Funeral service for Mrs. Winnie Faye Killian McAllister, 100, of Troup will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at 2 P.M., at the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer with Bro. Roland Ouellette and Bro. J.R. Matthews officiating. Interment will be held at Little Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends just before the funeral service from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. Mrs. McAllister passed away Friday, May 15, 2020, at an area hospital in Tyler.
Mrs. McAllister was born on September 9, 1919, in Upshur County, TX, to the late William Thomas Killian and Leva Mae (Tucker) Killian. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Big Sandy. Mrs. McAllister married Thomas Lee McAllister on June 29, 1946 until his death in 1981.
She is survived by her sons, Alvis McAllister and his wife, Tina, Johnny McAllister and his wife, Tina, both of Gilmer; daughters, Carolyn Pagitt and her husband, Thomas of Poynor, Joy Adams and her husband, Robert of Troup, Leva Gail Ouellette and her husband Roland of Sherman, and Teresa Kent of Chapel Hill;. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. McAllister is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. McAllister; brother, Howard Killian, sisters; Ester Belle Killian, Vera West, Minnie Mae Smith, Lela Johnson, Doris Melton, Elline Marsh, and one grandson.
Funeral service for Mrs. McAllister will be live-streamed on the McAllister Family Facebook page at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday for those who are unable to attend.
