Willma Faye "Nezzetta" Shaddox

Willma Faye “Nezzetta” Shaddox, age 88, of Gladewater, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 30, 1932 in Gladewater to the late Thomas Jefferson Thomas and Emilia Gertrude Bell Thomas-Pitts. Nezzetta was a devoted wife and homemaker, and worked outside of the home at various times in her life as a store clerk, cook, and owned and operated Nezetta’s Nursery and Novelties. She was a devout member of the Gladewater Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. She was a caring, honest, level headed and hardworking woman of strong faith that loved the simple things in life, her flower gardening, quilting, sewing, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married her beloved husband, William Wiley Shaddox in 1948, he preceded her in death, in 2015. She was also preceded by her parents; her eldest son, Kelly Shaddox; four brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by sons, Billy Gene Shaddox and Larence Shaddox of Gladewater; daughter, Wanda Faye McFarland of Gladewater; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Gladewater Memorial Park, with Bro. Wisenhutt officiating. Services under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater.
