Willie Duane Tucker

Services for Mr. Willie Duane Tucker, 82 of Gilmer will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Thompson and Bro. Clay Potter officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas. Mr. Tucker passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in Gilmer. He was born January 30, 1928, in Upshur County, Texas, to Samuel Clarence and Opie Okolona Tucker. Mr. Tucker was a maintenance supervisor at Lone Star Steel until his retirement after 32 years of employment. He was a member of the Gilmer Bethesda Lodge #142 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Tucker is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Sammy and Debra Tucker of Fulshear, Texas, and Richard and Dee Tucker of Gilmer; daughters and son-in-law, Judy and Terry Brown of Metaire, Louisiana, and Janet Matthews of Hallsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Jerry Tucker of Gilmer, and Doyle and Yvonne Tucker of DeRidder, Louisiana; grandchildren, Michael Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Rachel Van Haselen, Katie Auguste, Ben Evans, David Matthews, Sara Matthews and Amber Gutschlag; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Mae Tucker on December 1, 2009. Pallbearers are Michael Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Ben Evans, David Matthews, Hendrick Auguste, Jeremy Van Haselen and Tim Gutschlag. The family will receive friends today, May 14, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
