William Joe Woodard

Big Sandy - Services for William "Joe" Woodard, 67, of Big Sandy, will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. at White Oak Community Church with Pastor David Dusek officiating. Joe passed on Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Big Sandy, Texas. Services will be under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas.
Joe was born September 10, 1946 in Waco, Texas to Oren and Mandy Woodard. He served his country in the United States Army qualifying as a "Sharpshooter" on various rifles. He was a roofing contractor and was self employed. Mr. Woodard was a Baptist.
He was married to Sharon Dixon Woodard. He is preceded in death by parents Oren and Mandy Woodard, a brother Nealy Woodard, and a sister Helen Christen.
Surviving Joe Woodard is his wife Sharon of Big Sandy, Texas; son Joseph Woodard of White Oak, Texas; brother John Woodard of Waco, Texas; sisters Sue Overton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Mary Woodard of Waco, Texas. Also surviving Mr. Woodard are three grand children Matthew Woodard, Magen Woodard, and Kayleigh Woodard.
