William Cleo Brown

William Cleo Brown, 66, of Big Sandy, Texas will be Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Owentown, Texas the Reverend James Tatum officiating. Interment will be in the Hoover Cemetery in Upshur County, Texas. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. Mr. Brown passed away Tuesday evening, July 1, 2014. William was born in Corvallis, Oregon to Louis and Frances Brown on September 26, 1948. He resided in Big Sandy, Texas and enjoyed working as a Mechanic. He was married to Nettie Hobbs Brown and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Nettie; daughters, Sherry Benson of Lindale, Texas, Mary Williams and husband, Joel of Big Sandy, Melinda Pope and husband, Joe also of Big Sandy; sons, William Cole Brown of Augusta, Georgia, Billy Williamson and wife, Terri of Lindale, Texas; sisters, Linda Hallonquist and husband, Charles, Mary and Lois of California; brothers, Clyde Brown of Blythe, California and Al Albritton of Lindale; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding William in death are Louise Brown, Frances and Earl Albritton. Pallbearers will be Justin Benson, Misty Dickerson, Ronald Bunch, Charles Loving, Jonathan McDade and Randy Dickerson. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until service time Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Owentown.
