William E. �Bill� Cook DIANA �Services for William E .�Bill� Cook, 87, of Smyrna, will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Smyrna United Methodist Church, in Smyrna Community with Debbie Brown officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Smyrna Cemetery. He passed away August 15, 2012 at his home. Bill was born July 30, 1925 in Linden, Texas to Elmer and Edna Faye Cook. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a former truck driver, Honor Guard with the Jefferson VFW and attended the Methodist Church. Bill was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, Rebecca Daniel, his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vera Cook, son & daughter-in-law: Billy & Michele Cook, daughters & son-in-law: Linda & Eric Strait and Vicki Daniel, brother: Morris Cook, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild. The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 17 2012, 6 to 8 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
