Wilfred Steele "Corkey" Wright

Funeral services for Wilfred Steele "Corkey" Wright of Gilmer, Texas will be held 10:A.M Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Little Mound Baptist Church with Reverend Dickey Mauk officiating and burial will follow at Little Mound Cemetery. Mr. Wright passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013, in Kilgore. Mr. Wright was born on September 23, 1938, in Wise County, to Augustas Steele Wright and Nancy Roberts Wright. He served in the U. S. Army from 1958 to 1961. Mr. Wright was a truck driver and a member of Little Mound Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Wright; sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Lisa Wright of Kyle, Kirby and Teresa Wright of Mineola, Jerry and Barbara Wright of Gilmer; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Clifford Richey of Kilgore; daughters-in-law, Denise Wright and Patti Wright both of Gilmer; grandchildren, Collin, Clint, Lauren, Cassy, Bubba, Stephanie, Jordin, Jaden, Kendra, Courtney and Dakota; great-great grandchildren, Zoey, Bransin, Kolton, Hunter, Isabel, Alexis, Thomas, Kinley, Rylie, Dallas, and Maci. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his sons, David and Jimmy Wright and a granddaughter, Ivy Ieppert.
