Wayne Powell

Wayne Powell 82, of Diana, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in Gilmer, Texas. The family is holding a private family service, due to the current public health situation and mandates set in place for COVID-19. Arrangements are under the directions of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral home in Diana.

Wayne was born July 18, 1937 in Diana, Texas to George Aaron Milton and Eula Effie (Carter) Powell. Wayne was a mechanic and could fix just about anything. He loved spending time with his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by son and daughter in law, Gary Powell and wife Elicia, Daughter and son in law, Vicki Knopp and husband Marky, brother, Jerry Powell and wife Wanda, sister Anne White and husband Larry, 6 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Dorothy Powell in 2010.
