Wayne King

Funeral service for Mr. Wayne King, 86, of Gilmer, TX will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, interment to follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Mr. King passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Longview.

Mr. Wayne was born on July 9, 1932, in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late William and Shelly (Britt) King. He married Bettye Lambert in Ft. Worth on November 26, 1959. Wayne worked as an airplane mechanic for Kimberly Clark for many years and was also a proud veteran in the United States Air Force. He was also a faithful member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Mr. King is survived by his wife, Bettye Kathryn King; sons, Byron King and his wife, Jennifer, and Russell King; daughters, Kathy Neal and her husband, Jeff, Nancy Marak and her husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Brandon and Brooke Watkins, Dillon King, Jared and Matthew Neal, Adam and Chelsea Marak; and great grandchildren, Kylie Watkins and Aurora Curtis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo, Barney, Ben, and Curtis; and sisters, Mary, Loma, Hazel, Norma Jean, Marilyn, and Carolyn.
