Wayland Odell Barber

Services for Mr. Wayland Barber, 85, of Gilmer will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James Winniford officiating with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Barber passed away on Monday, December 09, 2013 in Longview. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Mr. Barber was born on April 13, 1928, in Gilmer to Odell and Corrine Carrington Barber. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. Mr. Barber owned and operated Barber"s Garage since 1967 and was a member of East Mountain Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Wynema Barber of Gilmer; sons and daughters-in-law, Weldon and Rhonda Barber of White Oak, James and Darlene Barber of Gilmer; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Pallbearers will be Chase Carpenter, Thomas Grigsby, Nat Harrison, Walter Huffman, Jay Yazell and Jeff Baird.
