From an early age, Wanda Lou (as she was affectionately known by her family) displayed a gift and passion for music which continued throughout her life. Wanda also enjoyed drama and journalism in high school and was elected class officer many times. She was well-respected by her peers and maintained many of those early close friendships to this day. She touched the lives of thousands through her love of music and her limitless compassion for students and their families. She was a very accomplished pianist and singer, having participated in numerous musical productions all over East Texas. Especially fond memories include many years playing the piano for Rangerette Revels in Kilgore and the Tyler Rose Festival. Wanda was a longtime member of many civic and social clubs in Gladewater. Wanda was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church in Gladewater where she spent 50 years serving the Lord with her time, talents, and many gifts.
