Wanda June Vaughan

Wanda June Cannon Vaughan was born on March 12, 1935 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Rollie Cannon and Maudie Mae York Cannon. She passed away on February 23, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years William E. Vaughan, Jr. and son, William E. Vaughan, III.
She is survived by daughters Patt Stegall and husband Doug, Pam Dean and husband Haskel of Big Sandy, Peggy Saxon and husband Kevin of Rosewood, son Kenneth Vaughan of Big Sandy and daughter-in-law Katie Vaughan of Mountain View, Arkansas. Sisters, Lois Humphries and husband Bill, Margret Richardson, Glenda Weaver, Karen Hanson and husband Dean of Tyler and sister-in-law Carole Cannon of Carmel, Indiana. Grandchildren, Brenda Berryhill and husband Ronnie, Heather Prescott and husband Phillip, Charlotte Carpenter and husband Chris, William Vaughan, IV, Ronnie Dean and wife Michele, Michelle Roberts and husband Chris, Wendy Mark and husband Joel, Dustin Dean, Stacy Hamberg and husband Rick, Misty Hartman and husband Franklin, Nicole Niles and husband Justin and Josh Vaughan and husband Will. 26 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Wanda was a member of the Church of Christ. Wanda was also a member of the Gilmer Chapter #355 and Winnsboro Chapter #967 Order of the Eastern Star. She also was the cafeteria manager and supervisor at Big Sandy ISD.
Funeral service for Ms. Vaughan will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, interment to follow at Hoover Cemetery in Upshur County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Croley Funeral Home.
