Wanda A. Henry

Graveside services for Wanda A. Henry, 90, of Gladewater, will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014, at 11 A.M. at Gladewater Memorial Park with Reverend Bailey Harris officiating. Born on February 25, 1923, in Bochita, Oklahoma, to John H. and Annie Lou Simmons, she entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 27, 2013." She was" 1940 graduate of Cooper High School" and "a homemaker. She married the love of her life, Dr. Walter Henry, on July 6, 1945, and they spent sixty-five years making lots of memories until his death on January 28, 2011. A member of the Gladewater First Baptist Church," she was also a member of the Gladewater Music Club, the VFW Auxiliary, the Dental Wives Auxiliary, and "the American Legion. She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Gary Henry and wife Sandy of Canyon Lake; Dr. Mark Henry and wife Chris of Gladewater; Dr. Timothy Henry and wife Janneke of Arlington;" Lisa Henry of Tyler; six grandchildren, Stephen Henry, Matthew Henry, David Henry, Chris Henry, Collin Henry, and Trevor Henry; and three great-grandchildren, Eloise Ann Henry, Sarah Abigail Henry, and Berkley Henry.
