Services for Walt Estes, 59, of Jefferson, will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at 2 P.M. in Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Born on December 26, 1954, to Walter Murray and Mary Elizabeth Duke Estes, Sr., he died on Sunday, September 14, 2014. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by one son, Walter Murray Estes III; two daughters, Brandi Estes and Nattali Estes; one grandchild, Taylor Murray Estes; two sisters, Carrolyn Hall and Jerry Hebert; nephews, Ty, Erek, and Derek; and nieces, Sheila and Tina; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Todd Davis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
