Funeral services for Wade C. Ashley, Jr. 92, of Gilmer will be 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Frontier Cowboy Church in Upshur County with Bro. J. N. Metcalf officiating. Interment will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Crestview Cemetery in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Ashley was born on January 28, 1922, in Fairmont, NC. to Wade C. Ashley, SC. and Myrtle Perry Ashley. He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 28 years of service. He is survived by his sons, Michael Ashley and wife, Fran of Gilmer, Glenn Ashley and wife, Kathy of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Shawn Peterson and Robin, Tracey Peterson and Laura, Jason Ashley and Colleen, Amanda and Victor Pann, Erin and Adam Bartka: great grandchildren, Kayla, Clayton, Arlo, Rhianon, Bodie and Gunnar. The family will receive friends Thursday May, 28, 2014, at the Frontier Cowboy Church from 6:00 p.m. until the service time.
