W. Louis Allen

Graveside services for Winon L. Allen, 84, of Gladewater, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Barber Cemetery in Starrville, Texas. Mr. Allen passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in Gladewater, Texas. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Winon Louis Allen was born to Virgil and Hazel Allen in Big Sandy, Texas on May 4, 1931. He married his sweetheart, Vivian Elaine Roberts Allen on December 31, 1950 and together they made Big Sandy home. Winon was a truck driver for Gladewater ISD and a member of the Church of Christ. He also served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his sons, Wayne Allen and wife, Laurina and Ricky Allen; brothers, Carl Allen and Clarence Allen; grandchildren, Charles Allen, Johnathan Allen, DeLaine Bingham, Penny Valdetero; six great-grandchildren, Peighton Allen Holly Boone, Dylan Boone Danielle Boone, Kaitlyn Dunn and Khylie Bingham. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vivian Allen and brother, Troy Allen.
