Vivian Janelle Jordan Adams

Services for Vivian Janelle Jordan Adams, 91, of Gladewater, will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012, at 2 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lester Wooten and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery with Brother Bob Cammack officiating. Born to serve the Lord on July 4, 1920, in Gladewater, Texas, to Samuel Ford and Modest Pounders Jordan, she entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. A 1938 graduate of Gladewater High School, she was a homemaker, who loved to play bridge, bake cookies, and sew. She, in addition, was an avid member of the Longview Christian Fellowship, the Joy Group Bible Study, the Dorcas Bible Study, and seven prayer groups. She is survived by her son, John Adams of Gladewater; sister, Jean Burnett of Bedford; and 4 adopted grandchildren, Kara, Shannon, Stephanie, and Sam. Pallbearers will be Lane Burnett, Tom Burnett, Jim Thompson, James Thompson, Tye Allen, and Mark Iwan. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Kemp and Shannon Iwan. If so desired, memorials may be made to Longview Christian School, 2011 W. Marshall, Longview, Texas 75604, or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
