Virginia Ruth Borden

Funeral service for Mrs. Virginia Ruth Borden, 84, of Gladewater, TX, will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 18, 2018, at First Assembly of God Church in Gladewater with Rev. Terrell Pearson officiating. Interment will follow at New White Oak Cemetery. Ruth passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Longview, TX.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm.

Ruth was born in Lindale, TX on March 27, 1934, to the late John and Iva (Craft) House. Mrs. Borden was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family most of all and lived life to the fullest. She was also a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gladewater.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Paulette Sanders and husband, Walter of Gladewater, Joy Verner and husband, Doug of Gladewater, Teresa Devaney of Alabama; son, Kem Borden and wife, Cindy of Gladewater; 3 sisters, 21 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arrie Borden, Sr.; sons, Arrie Borden, Jr. and Eugene Borden; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
