Virginia Evelee Fry Alford, 56, of Harleton, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 27, 2024. Born on November 12, 1967 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to David and Josephine Fry.

Virginia spent her early childhood years in Bismarck, Arkansas and later came to Ore City where she lived and attended Ore City High School. After meeting Matt, they traveled to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, where they were married on September 4, 1990 and later made their home in Harleton in 2018. Her career began at David Beard's Catfish Village, where her warmth and dedication endeared her to many. She later transitioned into banking, a field in which her exceptional personality shone brightly, earning her the affection and respect of her clientele.

Virginia was always active in the community, from fund raisers to her notable role in coaching girls' softball along with being an Eastern Star in the lodge. She often spent leisurely afternoons in her cherished rocking chair, overlooking the beautiful view of her property, engaging in heartfelt conversations with family and friends. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of warmth and nourishment, where she delighted in her reputation as the "Great Cook." No guest ever left her home with an empty stomach.

Virginia's heart swelled with pride for her family, particularly for her five-week-old grandson, Lawson, who ignited a passion and joy in her life. She embraced her role as a grandmother with open arms, cherishing every moment she spent nurturing and bonding with her loved ones.

Virginia will be remembered as one of a kind, having a heart of gold and being the most caring friend to have.
