Virginia Ann Strawn

Graveside service for Mrs. Virginia Ann Strawn, 78, of Gilmer, will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 6, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer with Bro. Mike Kessler officiating. Mrs. Strawn passed away Monday, November 2, 2020, in Gilmer.

Mrs. Strawn was born August 26, 1942 in Gilmer to the late Loye and Lorene Walker Osborne. Virginia was the owner of Strawn’s Shoes here in Gilmer and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilmer. More recently, Virginia spent countless hours serving families at Croley Funeral Home. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family members.
She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Benson and husband, Matt; grandsons, Jacob and Sam Benson; nieces and nephews, Jill McCauley, Mike Osborne, Dr. Bonny Cain, and Barry Cook; and great grandchild, Remington Benson.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Strawn, who passed away in 2009; and brothers, Larry and Bobby Osborne.
