Vicki Lou Jester

Funeral services for Vicki Lou Jester, 55, of Gilmer will be held at 10:00 am. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Gilmer with Bishop Lance Seahorn officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Park in Longview under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Jester passed away Wednesday, April 10, at her home in Gilmer surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 6, 1957, in Dallas, Texas to Coy and Ruth Ann Davis. Vicki has been a resident of East Texas for 45 years. She was a dedicated employee to the places where she worked; she started out working for Wal-Mart for several years. Then worked for Prowler-Fleetwood in Longview, until they closed the plant, later she worked for General Dynamics in Kilgore, Texas. Vicki was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Jan Jester of Gilmer, daughters and spouses, Jennifer and Chris Parker of Longview, Carrie and Weldon Ashworth of Hughes Springs and Amanda Jester of Gilmer; grandsons, Allen Phillip, Grayson Matthew and Hayden Coy Shaw of Longview; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Janice Davis of Gilmer. Mrs. Jester is preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Ruth Ann Davis. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
