Vicki Joyce Jamar Christian

Vicki Joyce Jamar Christian, age 72, of Gilmer passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Gilmer Nursing and Rehab Center, with her three daughters at her side. She battled a lengthy illness and was under the care of Southwest Palliative and Hospice. Vicki was born in Comanche County, Texas on March 20, 1948 to parents, Truman Augustus Jamar and Mozelle Jamar (89) of San Angelo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father.
She was baptized November 30, 1986 and upon her death went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, fishing, home canning and her family. Vicki was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church.
Vicki is survived by her mother Mozelle; brother, Terry Jamar and wife Caroline of Brownwood; sister, Becky Hasty and husband Bill of San Angelo; daughters, Tammy Swanner and husband Brent of Gilmer, Melanie Long and husband Brannon of Rowlett, Amy Fisk and husband Stanley of Gilmer. Her seven grandchildren are Miranda Williamson and husband Logan, Vanessa Watkins and husband Dustyn, Jared Player and fiancé Dara Winstead, Kearstin Long, Kaitlyn Dugger, Bradley Dugger and fiancé Alyssa Starek, and Addison Fisk. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Wyatt Williamson, Jintri Williamson, Mayzie Watkins, Malee Watkins, Brayden McCoy, Bryce McCoy, and Stetson Dugger.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the Rosewood Cemetery with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Memorials may be sent to Texas Baptist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 309, Waxahachie, Texas 75168-0309.
