Vernon Eugene Tevebaugh

GILMER- Funeral services for Vernon Eugene Tevebaugh, 82, of Gilmer, Texas will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Sand Hill Church of Christ in Gilmer with Mr. David Cotham officiating under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Tevebaugh passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in Tyler. He was born on February 1, 1933 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Eugene Jackson and Violet Moudy Tevebaugh. Mr. Tevebaugh worked in the Rolling Mill at Lone Star Steel after serving in the United States Navy, and was a member of the Sand Hill Church of Christ. He is survived by his sons, Ron Tevebaugh and wife, Carol of Longview, David Tevebaugh and wife, Nancy of Gilmer; brothers, George Tevebaugh and wife, Alta of Longview, Charles Tevebaugh and wife, Linda of Longview; sister-in-law, Ruby Tevebaugh; grandchildren, Ashley Cleere and husband, Travis, Reverend Brandi Horton and husband, Reverend David Horton, Meagan Tevebaugh and fianc�e, James Paul Thompson, Abby Albritton and husband, Joe, and Clint Tevebaugh; great-grandchildren, Kate and Calvert Albritton, and two great grandsons expected soon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Tevebaugh was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Tevebaugh (2007) and his brother, Bill Tevebaugh. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd funeral home in Gilmer.
