Services for Verna Pauline Fritz Sangrey, 90, of Jefferson, formerly of Gladewater, will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013, 2 P.M. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Longview with Reverend Dennis Bragdon officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born on November 17, 1922, in Breckenridge, Texas, she died on Thursday, April 11, 2013. She was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Brenda S. Sangrey of Plano; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth A. and Tommy Gray of Jefferson; 2 grandchildren, Charles B. and Rita Sangrey of Plano and Kristina R. Sangrey of Anaheim, California; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Bonnie Fritz of Jefferson; sister, Helen Freeman of Kilgore; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles A. Sangrey; parents, W. T. and Martha Fritz; and brother, Jake Fritz. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
