Verline Marlene Johnston

Graveside service for Verline Marlene Johnston, 92 of Gilmer will be Sunday, December 24, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Gladewater Memorial Park with Bro. Danny Trimble officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Johnston passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 in Longview.

Verline was born October 10, 1925 in Bowie County to the late Henry Clay Traylor and Hattie Brown Traylor. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Grace Baptist Church. She was a self-employed cosmetologist as well.
Verline is survived by her sons; Bob Steelman and Dale Steelman and his wife, Jane both of the Latch Community, two grandchildren; Shannon Steelman and Trisha Judd, great grandchildren; Ryan Judd and Cheyene Steelman.

Verline is preceded in death by her husbands; Lem Steelman and Bill Johnston, son; Ronnie Steelman in 1989, and siblings.
