Velma Marie Wisdom, a beloved mother, daughter, and skilled seamstress, peacefully passed away on October 30, 2023, in her home in Diana, TX, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 98 years old.

Born on August 10, 1925, Velma Marie was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She was a devoted daughter to her father, Daniel Jones, and mother, Rosie Jones. Growing up in a close-knit community, Velma Marie developed a deep sense of compassion, resilience, and a love for creating beautiful things with her own hands.

Velma Marie's talent as a seamstress shone brightly throughout her life. Her nimble fingers danced across fabrics, bringing to life countless exquisite garments. From elegant quilts and blankets, to baby clothes and maturity clothes, her creations showcased her passion and skill, leaving an indelible mark in the world of clothing manufacturing.

Though her formal education only reached the sixth grade, Velma Marie possessed a wisdom that surpassed any textbook. Her kind heart, wisdom, and unconditional love guided her through life, setting an example for her and all who knew her.

As we celebrate the extraordinary life of Velma Marie Wisdom, we also mourn her loss. Her presence will be greatly missed, especially by Veronica Bellomy, Jamie Bellomy and her daughter Carolyn  Watson who were her care givers and yet her memory will forever be engraved in our hearts. We find solace in knowing that she has been reunited with her loved ones who preceded her in death.

Although we mourn the loss of Velma Marie Wisdom, let us also celebrate the life, love, and lasting impact she had on each of us. Let her memory serve as a reminder to live with kindness, passion, and the courage to pursue our dreams.

Mrs. Velma, was proceeded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters.  She was also proceeded in death by her husband; Alford Ray Wisdom, two sons; Raymond Wisdom and James Wisdom.  
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Linda Williams and Carolyn Watson and husband Dennis, and son; Larry Wisdom and wife Dorthy. Velma's memory of grandmother to 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren will be a cherished memory for them as well.

Velma Marie, may you rest peacefully in eternal serenity. Your legacy will be cherished, and the love you shared will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved you.
