Velma Lucille Cote

Funeral services for Velma Lucille Cote, 89, of Gladewater will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2021, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Interment will follow at White Cemetery in Longview. The family will receive friends at Croley Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Mrs. Cote passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, in Quitman, Texas.

Mrs. Cote was born August 18, 1931 in Bucksholes, Texas to the late Cody T. Murphy and Mary Jane Hill. Mrs. Cote was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed, shopping, fishing, watching westerns, playing games and crocheting rugs. Velma loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved her mother and grieved her passing until she was finally reunited with her in Heaven. Mrs. Cote will be dearly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

She is survived by two sons Carroll Sullivan and wife Donna and Wallace Sullivan and wife Donna; sister Wanda Penny; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Mrs. Cote is preceded in death by her parents, husband Sylvio Raoul Cote, and a brother Johnny Murphy.
