Troy Olen Fitzgerald

Funeral services for Troy Olen Fitzgerald, 81, of Gilmer will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer. Mr. Fitzgerald passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010, at a Gilmer nursing home. Mr. Fitzgerald was born July 9, 1929, in Kaufman County, Texas to Joseph and Fannie Sherred Fitzgerald. He was retired from the State of Texas Highway Department after 32 years of service, had lived most of his life in Upshur County, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gilmer. He is survived by his wife: Dolline Fitzgerald of Gilmer; daughters: Barbara Gullett of Gladewater and Ginger Green of Houston; brothers: Freddie Fitzgerald of Gilmer and Roy Fitzgerald of Gilmer; sister: Beatrice Dudley of Longview; grandchildren: John Fitzgerald Green, Whitney Gullett, and Holly Gayle Green. Preceded in death by his brothers: Jack, George, Roland, and Dutch; sisters: Mayvon Kochin, Violet Fitzgerald, and Zuella Harris. Pallbearers will be: Freddie Ray Fitzgerald, Ricky Dudley, Doug Dudley, Scott Fitzgerald, Joe Fitzgerald, Mike Harris, Reggie Harris, and Jimmy Harris, and Bobby Kochin Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, 2010 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
