Troy Dale Brown, Sr.

Funeral services for Troy Dale Brown, Sr., 74, of Diana, will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Grubbs Loyd Funeral Home in Diana with Bro. J. D. Mayo and Bro. Dale Manes officiating. Interment will follow in Mattox Cemetery in Diana. Mr. Brown was born July 23, 1940 in Edom, Texas to Troy M. and Marie Tuggle Brown, and passed away on September 5, 2014 in Longview, Texas. He worked as a self-employed garage door salesman and installer and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Brown of Diana; sons, Troy Dale Brown, Jr. and wife Sherry of Diana, Greg Brown of Gilmer and Micheal Brown of Diana; daughters, Melissa Wilson and her husband Keith and Michele Griffith and her husband Sonny all of Diana; sister-in-laws, Delores Davis of Omaha, Jo Smith of Snohomish, Washington and Helen Gideon of Tyler; uncle, Cecil Brown and his wife Sandy of Gilmer; 13 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Brown is also survived by his beloved dog Pete. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Troy M. Brown and Mary Brown; Mother and step-father; Marie T. Oldham and A.D. Oldham and brother, Thurman Brown. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
