Graveside services for Tommye Dolores Wynant, 88, of Santa Fe, New Mexico and formerly of Gilmer, will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 10 A.M. at Sunset Memorial Park with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. Born on September 27, 1927, in Granger, Texas, she entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2016. She was the daughter of Thomas and Pearl Dillard. She grew up in Fort worth, Texas, where she married Kennedy Wynant. They later moved to West Chicago, Illinois, where they raised their family and then eventually retired to Gilmer. She is survived by two daughters, Janise Gardner and Donna Wynant; son, Duane Wynant; granddaughter, Bobbie Lynn Wood; grandson, Jason Cody Gardner; great-granddaughter, Savana. She is also survived by two sisters, June Sanders and Shirley Matthews and her husband, Bill; brother, Kenneth Dillard and his wife, Rebecca; and many nieces and nephews. Tommye was preceded in death by her husband, Kennedy Wynant; brother, Harley Bunch, and sisters, Darlene Dunn and Geneva Costello. She loved her library and church group in Gilmer. She also enjoyed ceramics and various arts and crafts and would rarely miss sending family and friends a card on their birthday. In honor of this, Tommye will be buried on her 89th birthday on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. If so desired, memorial donations may be given to the Gilmer Church of Christ in Tommye's memory.
