Timothy Swaine McBride

Timothy was born to Nathan Leo "Bubba" and Melanie McBride on September 24,1983 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed from this life into the Savior's hands on October 2, 2023.

Growing up Tim said the first love of his life was his NaNa, who cared for him and instilled a comforting love which he learned to share throughout his life, especially when it came to being a youth leader and a Poppy. During school, Tim enjoyed playing football and began a passion for the game that stayed with him throughout his life.  Everyone that met him knew he was a forever New Orleans Saints fan.

Tim enjoyed his time as a volunteer firefighter and filled us with stories of the ups and downs that come with helping people in need.  Tim was an avid hunter in his youth and told others about the shenanigans of his Father and Uncle and all of the fun they shared together. He enjoyed fishing and any activity that was outside.

Tim's unique personality along with his beautiful smile changed the lives of so many people he knew and who were fortunate enough to know him.

Tim's real faith journey began with his health  and becoming a member of New Hope Baptist Church, his second home. Tim saw first hand the supernatural events that can happen with prayer and with having prayer warriors. Throughout the 7 years of fighting his diseases and going through the 107 surgeries and procedures, people local and far prayed for him. His doctors were always amazed by his positive attitude and his faith.  He always seemed to beat the odds.

Tim began to change and grow with the Lord with the help of his much loved Pastor Bro Danny Trimble who constantly stood beside him. Brother Danny encouraged Tim that he was vital to God's work at any state. This is when Tim gave his time and heart to Vacation Bible School. He would spend months preparing with excitement for June. His heart filled with joy with the kids that came to learn about Jesus. 

He is preceded in death by his NaNa, Durwilla Roach Holland, his father, Nathan Leo McBride,Jr., his uncle, Mark Bounds, and his Paternal and Maternal grandparents.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved mother, Melanie McBride, his brother Todd McBride, and wife Jessica and their children Alyssa Reiner and husband Zach, Alex, Cayden and Bryce; his sister Jessica Coleman and husband Shaun and their children Hallie, Kylie, Caleb, and Caitlyn; his daughters, Larissa Davis and Natalie McBride. His uncle Paul McBride, and wife Rebecca, aunt Tammy McCrory and husband Johnny, aunt Lillie Harris, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His Partner Cindy Williams and her children Mason Peterson, Miriam Grant and partner Mo and their child, Eligha. and The Family of New Hope.
