Timmy Lee Saxon

Funeral service for Timmy Lee Saxon, 58, of Gilmer will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Rosewood Baptist Church in Upshur County with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Upshur County under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mr. Saxon passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, in Longview. He was born on February, 9, 1957, in Memphis, Texas to Franklin D. Saxon and Lottie Mae Goode Saxon. Timmy was a Superintendant for Lone Star Steel until his retirement and started working with Upshur County Maintenance Department in 2006. He was a member of Bethesda Masonic Lodge #142 A.F & A.M and Hickory Hill Lodge #156 A.F & A.M. Mr. Saxon was involved with Upshur County Crime Stoppers. Mr. Saxon is survived by son, Dalan Saxon of Gilmer; daughter, Tessa Nall and husband, Justin of Gilmer; brothers, Joe Saxon and wife, Vickie Dee of Big Sandy, Kevin Dee and wife, Peggy of Gilmer; sister, Carol Wade and husband, Whit of Gilmer; grandchildren, Tanah Seely and Bryson Nall and his wife, Gail of Ore City. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers for his service will be Robert Cromley, Matt Alford, Ken White, Jr., Chase Saxon, William "Red" Smith and Butch Jones. Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Ray Marlar and Coleman Hall. Memorials may be made to Rosewood Baptist Church, % Charles Johnson, 1044 S. Mimosa, Gilmer, Texas 75644. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home.
