Thomas Lynn Gunn

Thomas Lynn Gunn, 67, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 2, 2013. He was born on November 26, 1946 to Dallas Glenn and Mary Alta Gunn in Strawberry, Arkansas. Lynn married, worked, and raised his family in Texas, residing in Gilmer, Pecos, Post, Mission, Hughes Springs, and Gladewater. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Hughes Springs, Tx and he retired from Conoco Oil Co. in 2003. Lynn enjoyed spending time with his extended family, fishing, reading, crafts, crosswords, woodwork, and collecting Conoco memorabilia. He loved his country dearly and had a deep interest and concern about it. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Wayne Gunn, Terrell Jarrett, and Glen Gunn, and his sister-in-law, Judy Jarrett. He is survived by his loyal and loving wife, Doris Marie Gunn, his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Teresa Gunn of Germany and Michael and Penny Gunn of Longview, Tx, and his devoted daughter, Tammy, of Gladewater, Tx; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Janie Gunn of Hughes Springs, TX and his sister-in-law Eva Gunn of Wink, Tx; his grandchildren, Casey Dale Gunn, Taylor Renee Gunn, Carter Dale Gunn, Amanda Celeste Gunn, Austin Patrick Lynch, Chris, Brad, and Steven Lee, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Church in Gladewater, Tx. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. No visitation is scheduled.
