DIANA: Graveside services for Thomas F. Brill, Jr, 71, of Gilmer will be at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Coffeeville Cemetery, with Ken Loyd officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. He passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at his residence.
Thomas was born July 1, 1946 in Robertsdale, Alabama to Thomas F. Brill, Sr. and Corrine Merchant Brill. He was a truck driver and attended Coffeeville Baptist Church. Thomas proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On September 21, 1995, he married Tommie Joyce Hicks in Gulfport, Mississippi. Thomas enjoyed fishing and tinkering in his workshop and loved traveling back to his home in Alabama.
Thomas is survived by his wife: Tommie Joyce Brill, daughter: Jennifer Lain and husband Raymond of Gilmer, sister: Sheila Stephens of Pensacola, son: Tommy Brill of Pensacola, grandchildren, Hunter Lain, Zachery Brill and Alexander Brill, sister-in-law: Patsy Humphrey, niece: Vickie Penna and husband Steve, nephew: Les Humphrey and wife Robbye, nephew: Randy Humphrey, nieces: Michelle, Alana and Tammy and special friends: Robert and Patty Maloney.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 15, 2018, 1-2 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana, prior to the service at Coffeeville Cemetery
