Theresa Latrella (Bartlett) Parks

Theresa Latrella (Bartlett) Parks, 91 years old left this temporary home on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Her long, beautiful life will be honored Friday February 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Kilgore, Texas.

Theresa, or “Mawmaw” as her loved ones called, her was born on March 4, 1930 to Ross and Della Bartlett. On May 21, 1945 she married the love of her life, William Rufus Parks. In their life together she enjoyed being a homemaker, wife and mother to their two daughters, being outdoors and caring for her dogs. Those who knew her know how much she loved to dress up. It didn’t matter the celebration, she always had a festive outfit and earrings to match. From over the top Christmas decorations to home cooked meals she always made sure everyone and everything was celebrated. She was the life of the party.

Mawmaw was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband and infant daughter, Wanda Darlene. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sherron Taylor (and husband James) of Liberty City, Texas and Karen Graham (and husband Andy) of Anson, Texas. Four grandsons, Trampas Graham of Abilene, Texas, Ross Taylor (and wife Christy) of Kilgore, Texas, Rusty Taylor (and wife Julie) of Henderson, Texas, and Rance Taylor (and wife Toni) of Jacksonville, Texas. Her great-grandchildren, Kennidee and Greta Taylor, Kade (and wife Madison) and Gracie Taylor, Whitney (and husband Austin) Vanderslice, and Callaway Taylor. Her great-great grandchildren Emiree and Huck Vanderslice.

The family would like to thank Janet Rossum, of Tyler, Texas for her years of loyal friendship.
