Funeral service for Thelma Floy Cantrell Mason Middlebrooks Graham, 90, of Holly Lake Ranch will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Holly Brook Baptist Church with Bro. Jacob Conner and Bro. Larry McGuire officiating. Interment will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Floy passed into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 12, 2014. Floy was born February 19, 1924 in Arlington, TX. She was the eldest of five children born to Charlie F. and Rue Finie Cantrell, and was raised on a farm in rural Ellis and Johnson counties. She married J. Benton Mason on May 3, 1941 in Rockwall, TX. They lived in Ft. Sill, OK and Austin, TX while Mr. Mason was serving in the army, finally settling in Grand Prairie. In 1952, the family moved to Oak Cliff. They raised five children, four daughters and one son. In 1970 they moved to Lake Whitney, where they lived until J.B"s death in July 1982. Floy married Heroal Middlebrooks on January 5, 1985 and moved to Fairfield, TX where they raised a few cattle. When Heroal passed away in March 1998, Floy moved to Plano and lived with her daughter Marian until her move to Holly Lake Ranch and marriage in September 1999 to James T. Graham. Floy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved to cook for family gatherings, where her Chocolate Pies were expected and treasured. Floy was also an accomplished seamstress, who took great pride in her work. As a young mother, she made all her children"s clothes. She even made the wedding dresses for all four of her daughters and three of her granddaughters. In later years Floy brought in extra income by sewing for the public, as well as for family and friends. Floy had a strong faith and was an active member of Holly Lake Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Floy is survived by her husband, James T. Graham; her five children, Marian Manning and husband, James of Winnsboro, Betty Sebastian and husband, William of Telephone, TX, J. Benton Mason and wife Diane of Fairfield, Linda Black of Denton, Paula Straight and husband Craig of Waldron, AR; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, Elbert "Dutch" Cantrell of Paradise; sister-in-law, Mary Cantrell of Ft. Worth as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.B. Mason and Heroal Middlebrooks; parents; brothers, Verlon Lee Cantrell, Charles Theo Cantrell, James Carl Cantrell; and sister, Ellen Rose Cantrell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
