Teddy M. Evans

Mr. Ted Evans, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Longview. Ted was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on July 27, 1936 to the late Theodore and Ruby McCleery Evans. He owned and operated Ted’s Garage in Ore City until retirement, and was a Baptist. He enjoyed fixing things, tinkering, mowing the grass, and most especially visits from his grandchildren. He was a joker, with a dry sense of humor who loved getting a laugh out of you with some good natured pestering.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joann Evans; grandson, Camron Hernandez; brother, Don Evans; sister, Linda Malin.

He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Robinson and husband Marshall of Hominy, Ok., Marcia Heiser and partner Ernie Gardner of Big Sandy, Diane Walker of Hominy, Ok., Becky Eades and husband Mark of Gladewater, Kim Teague of Tulsa, Ok.; brother, Darrell Evans of Owasso, Ok.; sisters, Shirley Evans of Tulsa, Ok., June Hacker and husband Jim of Pensacola, Ok.; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; and longtime companion, Kay Gardener.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home of Diana. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Beckville.
