Ted Mardy Smith

Ted Mardy Smith, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, December 21, 2024. Ted grew up in Daingerfield, Texas, where he graduated from high school in 1975. He went on to excel in a career in the automotive industry. His work ethic was an inspiration to all that knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife April Smith and step-son, Samuel Reeves; daughter, Sarah Smith Geiman and husband Nathan; grand-daughter, Kensley Geiman; Brothers, Daniel Smith and wife Lanelle, Don Smith and wife Patty; Sister, Margie Smith Wilson and husband Kenney; Nephews, Ken, Kelly Joe, Kyle and Heath, along with many family members and close friends.

He is reunited with his parents Helen Faye Palmer Smith and Dial Wilton Smith, Sister Fayla Matthews and brother in law Lee Matthews.

The family will have a Celebration of Life visitation service to honor Ted at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 2-4 pm.
