Tawnie Rose Mosley

It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Tawnie Rose Mosley on March 12, 2024, at her home in Gilmer. She was 33 years old. Tawnie was the youngest Mosley grandchild born on October 6, 1990. Our family is deeply saddened by her sudden passing.

Tawnie grew up in White Oak where she was a member of the choir and Girl Scouts. She graduated from Longview Academy in 2007. She considered cooking her love language and couldn’t pass up green sauce and nachos. She could never resist a true crime drama, but the most precious thing in her life were her children, Jonathan and Jocelynn. Tawnie considered them her greatest accomplishment and endeavored daily to ensure they were given unwavering love, support, and the opportunity for a prosperous future. Tawnie Rose was fun loving and most often enjoyed picking on her dad who remained her safe place to the end. She liked to crochet and read during her quiet time. Tawnie Rose, like most Mosley’s, was a fighter, with a huge heart, a generous spirit, and immeasurable determination. She will forever be missed.

Tawnie Rose was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norma June (Nana) and Connie B Mosley and Tom Collins; her mother, Denene Mosley; her great grandparents, Jimmie Rosa Lee and Paul Doyle; and the mom Tawnie adopted as her own, Cindy Wallace.

Tawnie is survived by her son Jonathan Mosley and daughter Jocelynn Hall, her father and stepmother, Jimmie and Tina Mosley; grandmother Mary Ann Collins; her brothers, Jimmie Michael Mosley, and Karma Daniel McDevitt; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.

Please join us as we celebrate the life of Tawnie Rose Mosley on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Longview Arboretum and Nature Center.
