Sylvio Raoul Cote Gladewater " Graveside services for Sylvio Raoul Cote, 83, of Gilmer, will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 12 noon at White Cemetery in Longview with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Born on May 22, 1929, in South Bridge, Massachusetts, he died on Sunday, October 30, 2011. A veteran of the United States Army, he served during the Korean War. He was an automotive mechanic and a member of the Glenwood First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Velma Lucille Murphy Cote of Gilmer; son, George Cote of Virginia; 2 Step-Sons, Carroll Sullivan of Alvarado, Wallace Sullivan of Grand Prairie; daughter, Theresa Barton of Kilgore; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 5 brothers, Henry Cote, Arthur Cote, Ernest Cote, and Lucian Cote, all of Manchester, New Hampshire; and Patrick Cote of Concord, New Hampshire; 1 sister, Ann Island of Manchester, New Hampshire; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until noon on Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
