Funeral services for Sybil Bailey, 98, of Gilmer will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Reverend Bill Arden officiating. Interment will be in Gilmer City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mrs. Bailey passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at a Big Sandy nursing home. Mrs. Bailey was born December 17, 1913 in Gilmer, Texas to James Bennet and Snoda Jane Lockhard Martin. She is survived by nieces and nephews and their spouses, Peggy Hall Carpenter and husband Clyde, Martha Hall Andrews and husband Robert James E. Hall and wife Louise, all of Gilmer, Ray Martin and wife Carolyn of San Angelo, Virginia Mulkey of Dallas, Helga Martin and Susan Berry both of Longview, Terry Martin, Sally Ann Martin, Audley Edward Martin of Odessa, Louise Woods Poindexter and husband Harvey of Grand Prairie and Larry Woods of Grandbury. In addition, she is survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and their families and a host of friends from several states. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands Chester Delaney in 1962 and John Bailey in 1994; three brothers, Audley Martin, John Truman Martin and Weldon Martin; two sisters, Lorine Martin Hall and Jane Martin Krueger; also two nephews Jim Martin and James Woods. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to until service time Monday, March 12, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer.
