A Graveside service for Suzanne Powers Mayfield will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.  

Suzanne Powers Mayfield was born on October 4, 1934 in Gilmer, Texas, the oldest child of Osborne Otis and Verna Williams Powers.  She passed from this life on January 11, 2023 at the age of 88. Mrs. Mayfield worked for Hawkins ISD and later retired from the Salesmanship Club Youth Camp as Program Coordinator. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Gilmer and a volunteer of the Clothes Closet Mission in Gilmer for many years.

Mrs. Mayfield is survived by her daughter Stephanie Hall and husband J.P. of Hawkins, grandchildren Denver Hall and wife Kelli, Chance Hall and wife Allie, and Keylon Mayfield, and two great-grandchildren, Rylie and Charlie Ann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years Kenneth Mayfield, son Kyle Mayfield, brother Steve Powers, and sister Emily Lambert.
