Susan Carpenter

Funeral services for Susan Carpenter, 58, of Longview (formerly of Hawkins) will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Hawkins with Dr. Bill Holmes officiating. Interment will be in the Hawkins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Carpenter passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Carpenter was born August 7, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia to William N. and Jean Brooks Warren. She was a retired school teacher with Hawkins ISD, past president of the Athletic Booster Club, a member of the Texas Education Agency and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawkins. She is survived by her husband, Lindell Odus Carpenter of Longview; son, Cody Warren Carpenter of The Colony; daughter, Lacy Brooks Carpenter of Longview; mother, Jean Warren of Longview; brother, William Warren, Jr. of Longview; grandchildren, Lindell Cash Carpenter of Longview and Grayson Lou Carpenter of The Colony. Mrs. Carpenter is preceded in death by her father, William N. Warren. Pallbearers will be Kelcey Trotty, Kyle Snider, Geoffrey Carey, Tyler Romine, Bobby Dela Rosa and Jay Ryan Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cash Carpenter, Matt Carpenter and Dewayne Hickey.
