Sue Coleman Parrish Gladewater " Services for Sue Coleman Parrish, 78 , of Gladewater, will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 2 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dick Dobbins and Larry W. Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery. Born on December 8, 1932, in Gladewater, Texas, to Grady and Eula Coleman, she entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 1, 2011. A 1950 graduate of Gladewater High School and a 1952 graduate of Kilgore College, she attended University of Texas at Austin. She was a former Kilgore College Rangerette. She and Richard Parrish married on August 8, 1953, in the sanctuary of the Gladewater First United Methodist Church. She was a former Sunday School teacher at Memorial Baptist Church in Houston and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of the Gladewater Garden Club, Rangerettes Forever, and the Gladewater Daleth Club. She was an active member of the Gladewater First United Methodist Church and a member of the Ages and Stages Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Parrish of Gladewater; son, Bill Parrish of Los Angeles; son and daughter-in-law, Richard III and Melanie Parrish of Bangladesh; daughter and son-in-law, Emory and Douglas Brincks of Dallas; 9 grandchildren, Richard Parrish IV, Allison Parrish, Hannah Parrish, Michael Ann Bishop, Brett Bishop, Reid Bishop, Andrew Brincks, Elizabeth Brincks, and Brian Brincks. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas "Tommy"Coleman. Pallbearers will be Gene Pearson, Snuffy Smith, Sonny Spradlin, Ray Tindel, Bob Bustin, Brett Bishop, Reid Bishop, and John Paul Tallent. If so desired, memorials may be made to Beacon Hospice, 5016 Gilmer Road, Longview, Texas 75604. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Stephanie Wilson and Judy Johnson, and the staff at Margaret"s House at Beacon Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
