Stephen Anthony Mitchell

DIANA: Memorial services for Stephen Anthony Mitchell, 43, of Diana will be at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel in Diana, with Greg Zachary officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. He passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Longview.

Stephen was born November 3, 1973 in Eupora, MS. to Hardy and Frances Mitchell. He was a dragline operator with Sabine Mining. Stephen loved his family and enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife; Kim Mitchell, son: Parker Mitchell, daughters: Kaitlyn Mitchell, Chelsea Mitchell and Lauren Mitchell, parents: Hardy and Frances Mitchell of Kosciusko, MS., sister: Melanie Rice and husband Jason of Madison, MS., nephews: Brooks, Sam, Tucker, and Coy Rice of Madison, M.S paternal grandmother: Margie Mitchell of Kosciusko, MS., mother and father-in-law: Martha and Wayne Agee of Hernando, FL., sister-in-law: Dena Love and husband Rich of Pearl, MS., nephew: Chris Shafer and niece: Haley Shafer of Madison, M.S. and great nephew: Ashton Shafer, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents: Fred and Maggie Parker, paternal grandfather: James Mitchell and maternal grandparents: Mayfred and Curtis Webb.
