Shirley Sylvia Nesmith

Graveside service for Shirley Sylvia Nesmith, 75, of Hawkins will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Hawkins Cemetery with Dr. Donald Ward officiating. Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mrs. Nesmith passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Nesmith was born July 16, 1939 in Owatonna, MN to Adolph and Sylvia Haberman Bjoraker. She was a homemaker and a devout member of the Church of God. She spent three years in Eugene, OR, and then 33 years in Pasadena, CA, until moving to Hawkins, TX where she has resided for the past 15 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother, with a kind heart and an irrepressible spirit. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Oliver Benton Nesmith of Hawkins; son, Scott Alexander Nesmith of Sunnyvale, CA; brothers, Glenn Bjoraker of Wisconsin and Donald Bjoraker of Hawkins; sister, Mary Ahrens of Owatonna, MN. No formal visitation is scheduled.
