GILMER � Services for Shirley Ann Carter Lee, 70, of Gilmer, will be 10 AM Saturday, July 14, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upshur County. She passed away on Wednesday, July 11, in Longview. Shirley was born May 9, 1942 in Gilmer to Virgil Edward and Minnie Beatrice Carter. She worked as a pharmacy technician for many years before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kim Smith; and a brother, Phillip Carter. She is survived by a daughter: Penny Jones; a brother: Doug Carter; 4 grandchildren: Jeri Shaw, Holly Bingham, Shelby Bingham, Dawson Jones; 2 great grandchildren: Lainey Paye and Landon Tate Hightower. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, July 13, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
