Sheri Marie Israel

Sheri Marie Israel, age 49, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Sheri was born in Houston on May 19, 1971. She grew up and attended school in Gilmer. Sheri loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo, and trips to the casino with her friends. She was a born-again Christian and has now gone to join grandparents and other family and friends who preceded her into the company of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sheri is survived by her mother, Shirley Hayes, and husband Don Hayes; sons, Markus Levi George and Matthew Dillon George; grandchildren, Emma Lee, Maya Nicole, and McKenna Marie; as well as many other loving family and friends that will dearly miss her.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Jerome “Jerry” Lucky.

A memorial graveside and inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer, Texas, on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 10:00 AM. A Celebration of Life Service at the Pritchett Community Center will immediately follow.
