Sheila Carol Wood

Services for Sheila Carol Wood, age 62, of Gladewater, will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Interment will follow at the Starrville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Wood passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019, in Longview.

Sheila was born on August 29, 1957, in Longview, Texas to the late Garland Wayne Hesser and Helen Brewer Hesser. She enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting and spending time with her family. Sheila was a very caring, compassionate and determined woman. She always looked for the good in people and was very forgiving. Sheila herself was not above asking for her own forgiveness. She loved her family especially her grandchildren whom she adored. Sheila was strong willed, determined and very protective of her family and friends. Sheila will not soon be forgotten by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

Sheila is survived by her husband David Wood; son Colt Wood and wife Destinee the mother of Sheila’s grandchildren of Brydon Bill Sebastian and Dakota Carol Wood; Kristen Sue Wood the mother of Sheila’s grandchildren David Nicholas Wood, Benjamin Paul Wood and Kenley Ann Wood; Sheila is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
